Walking?

He is getting really close to walking. He has been walking along the furniture and by holding onto me for awhile now. But he is now standing on his own and every once in awhile he will take a wobbly baby step. For the most part he just grabs anyone's finger and takes them for a walk. He is such a fun-loving, happy, busy baby!

Trouble, trouble, trouble

It's all about unloading, the taller he gets the more he can unload/break!
It's hard to get anything done with a small person attached to you.
It didn't take long to find the good stuff.
He climbed up the box, onto the coffee table, got the remote and then backed his way down.. I'm in big trouble!

Crawling!

Kalel has started crawling...
If I leave for a minute, I'm not sure where I'll find him. This time he was stuck under the table.

Kalel had his first camping experience, he loves being
outdoors so he was happy the whole time. He also went swimming for the first time, which you can tell by the splashing, he enjoyed! We have since been swimming a few more times, he loves to be on his stomach. He is getting so big! He attempts to roll over, but doesn't seem too worried about it.

He loves Water! If you click on the picture to enlarge it, you'll see water all over his face. We put him on the kitchen counter so he can see the faucet then he smiles and puts his face in it.
I couldn't help it... this is a common occurrence. I need to bring extra clothes for both of us. The joys of motherhood!

Sleepy Boy

Kalel has to have this blanket when he sleeps. When you put it over his face he grabs it, sighs and goes to sleep.
Here is Jason and Kalel taking a nap in the back of the Suburban.
This was at the rodeo. It is very loud, but after sucking on Kyle's thumb for 30 minutes, he finally fell asleep.But his favorite place to sleep is with his Mom. (I don't mind either : )

Getting Stronger!

Kyle is loving the fact the Kalel will stand in his hands now. It still makes me nervous but I will admit, it is really cute! We also went for a walk the other day and he got to wear his new hat that Ben & Brooke gave him. (Thank you, it looks pretty cute). He fell right asleep.

He seems to be growing so fast. When I sit him in my lap against my knees he tries to sit up, he actually can but the balance isn't there. I just catch him as he starts to topple off to the side. If he is getting fussy, it is usually because he wants to stand up. He loves to play with dad, who tries to get him to stand in his hands (he is not quite ready, but I lose that battle), holds him in the air (with his feet) and makes cool noises. I now understand why so many baby outfits come with bibs. He has started to slobber. But his favorite thing to do is EAT! It seems like I am always feeding him. I have to try and distract him and make him wait 3 hours. (But it takes him at least 45 to eat, so it ends up being 2 hours). But he is awake longer, so we have added more play into the eat, poop and sleep routine. He was sleeping for 6 hours at night, which I loved, but it is a fairly random schedule. We are lovin' life.

Chubby Baby

Well, I now have a chubby baby. It is okay with me if they come out small and then get some fat on them! He weighs around 13 lbs now! I will find out for sure next week. He is a very happy baby. He smiles all the time. He tends to stop when the camera comes out, but I have caught a few...He now has a new cousin. Malia had a baby boy (Jason). Look at the difference of the leg sizes!

Blessing

Here he is in his cute white suit! Kalel received a name and a blessing May 6th. The same day his cousin Ellie was blessed. We had a big dinner and party at the Robert's house. All of my sisters were in town with their families. It was a blast.

He is not awake very much but when he is, he pulls the funniest faces! We see a lot of his tongue, and his eyebrows are the best. He tends to look at Dad with one eyebrow up, it's great. The third picture reminds me of "blue steel."

It doesn't matter how tight we swaddle him he manages to get his hands out out. They are above his head, behind his head or around his face. Now I just keep one arm out when I wrap him.

He is starting to use his legs more. When I burp him he straightens his legs, in this picture I am just helping him balance. I think he is going to be a strong boy!

This helps give you an idea how small he is. Look at the size of his face compared to Kyle's hand. In the other picture he is laying on a regular sized pillow! When he was born Kyle's dad said, "I don't think he's done growing, he needs to go back in for a month." But, I am more than happy to have him out!
